Plume is a quotes and inspiration app designed to help people discover, save, organize, and revisit meaningful ideas.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices you have regarding your data when using Plume.
We believe privacy policies should be understandable by actual humans — not just lawyers — so we’ve tried to keep this document as clear and straightforward as possible.
If you have any questions, you can always contact us at [email protected].
Plume can be used without creating an account. However, some features — such as syncing bookmarks and collections across devices — may require signing in with Apple or Google.
When you create an account, we may collect basic information such as your email address, username, and authentication details associated with your login provider. We do not collect or store passwords for Apple or Google sign-in.
As you use the app, we may also store information related to your experience inside Plume. This can include things like bookmarked quotes, collections and folders you create, language preferences, notification settings, widget configurations, reading history, listening history, and search activity.
We also collect technical and analytics information that helps us understand how the app is performing and how people use it. This may include device type, operating system version, app version, crash reports, anonymous usage statistics, and device identifiers.
If you send us feedback, feature suggestions, bug reports, or support requests, we may store the information included in those messages.
We use information primarily to operate and improve Plume.
This includes things like syncing your data between devices, personalizing quote recommendations, sending notifications based on your favorite topics, improving app performance, fixing bugs, understanding which features people enjoy most, and developing new features in the future.
We may also use analytics and aggregated usage data to improve discoverability, marketing efforts, App Store optimization (ASO), search optimization (SEO), and overall product strategy.
Our goal is simple: make Plume more useful, more personal, and more enjoyable over time.
